Increased focus on Private Care

January 2018

In January this year Mr Harris moved to focus solely on private practice. He has worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital for almost 15 years, dedicating this time to building and providing a cancer reconstruction service. Whilst there he became the Clinic Lead for the department, headed a research team into gene therapy and more recently worked as the Medical Director of Private Care. He now feels that his focal point has shifted more towards aesthetic surgery and is unable to fully dedicate his time to this specialist area whilst still working in the National Health Service. His main office and contact details remains at The London Clinic.

Mr Harris commented that “It has been an immense privilege to work at The Royal Marsden Hospital with a World-class team of colleagues. However, delivering a high quality service in private care and maintaining my activity in the NHS is increasingly difficult. It would be wrong of me to compromise in one of these areas and I have therefore taken the difficult decision to resign from The Royal Marsden. This should allow me to focus full-time on my private patients and provide the service they deserve”.
