Busy Spring on the Lecture Circuit
June 2016
Mr Harris has been busy during April, May and June in 2016 lecturing to breast and plastic surgeons. In recognition of his work in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, he was invited by The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) to teach on their Breast Surgery Instruction Course on flap salvage of implant problems and 3D imaging. He then lectured at The Association of Breast Surgeons (ABS) meeting on how to undertake the combined procedure of a breast uplift with additional implants (mastopexy – augmentation). Finally, he taught at an Oncoplastic meeting to junior consultants again on patient selection for the mastopexy – augmentation procedure.
Mr Harris commented that, “it is a huge honour to be asked to speak at such prestigious meetings and I hope this reflects how well I am regarded by my colleagues. However, it can also be quite time consuming to prepare the lectures and then take time away from my practice, so I can’t always accept such invitations”.
